The New Culinary Market Will Showcase the Island’s Best Locally Sourced Products

Locals and visitors on Hawai‘i Island will soon be able to enjoy a new culinary market experience showcasing island-grown produce and local, value-added products at Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Queens’ Culinary Market debuts on June 13 and will take place every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the shopping center.

The Queens’ Culinary Market will feature 20 local farmers and businesses, celebrating the rich culinary ingenuity of Hawai’i Island with a diverse selection of local products including fresh produce, flowers, meat, seafood, and value-added treats such as coffee, honey, and jams.

At the Queens’ Culinary Market guests can look forward to:

A selection of farmers and vendors, including Apple’s Fiesta Fruit Cups, Big Island Smoked, Cocomon, Hawaiian Hotties, Kona Salt Farm, Misma Lani

Live entertainment by local musicians throughout the center, featuring performers like Scott Bucholz and Ryan Higgins.

A beer garden hosted by Waikoloa Shrimp Co. featuring local brews.

“Talk story” sessions where guests can interact with the market’s vendors or learn about, and support the work of, local nonprofit organizations.

“We are thrilled to bring the Queens’ Culinary Market to Queens’ Marketplace in partnership with Waikoloa Community Market,” said Kimberly Hayes, general manager at Queens’ Marketplace. “Our vision is to create a venue that supports local agriculture and small businesses while strengthening our island’s status as a premier culinary destination among locals and visitors.”

“The Queens’ Culinary Market will be a vibrant hub that connects our local community with amazing farmers and small businesses,” said Ann Wurden, Waikoloa Markets. “From farm-fresh produce to handcrafted treats, this market offers a unique opportunity to taste the best of what our island has to offer. It’s a celebration of our island culture and culinary talent, while bringing together people.”

Queens’ Marketplace merchants will also participate in the Queens’ Culinary Market with live art demonstrations and sidewalk sales throughout the center.
