This year’s 19th Annual Fueling Dreams campaign runs April 1 – May 13, 2024 at more than 30 participating Hele stores statewide
The return of Par Hawaii’s annual Fueling Dreams campaign is helping Special Olympics Hawaii athletes on their journey for gold. From April 1, through May 13, 2024, Hawaii drivers can put the pedal to the metal and drive support for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes by making a donation at 33 participating Hele stores across Oahu, Hawaii Island and Maui. All donations received will provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to train and compete free of charge.
“Our entire team is honored to partner with such an amazing organization like Special Olympics Hawaii and are very passionate about supporting their work to transform and empower the lives of local athletes with intellectual disabilities,” said Par Hawaii’s Vice President – Hawaii Retail, John Peyton. “We appreciate the generosity of our customers to help raise funds for Special Olympics Hawaii’s sports, health, leadership, and inclusionary programs.”
Par Hawaii, marketer of Hele and 76 Hawaii, has been a strong supporter of Special Olympics Hawaii for more than three decades. To date, the Fueling Dreams campaign has raised more than $1,005,120 for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes and programs.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support that we receive from Par Hawaii and their team every year,” said Special Olympics Hawaii’s President & CEO, Dan Epstein. “Par Hawaii does so much for the community and plays such a valuable role in creating opportunities for our local athletes.”
All donations received from the Fueling Dreams campaign allow Special Olympics Hawaii to continue to provide programs and training – both online and in-person – for more than 6,000 athletes and Unified partners across Hawaii.
Special Olympics Hawaii provides year-round sports programs and training for athletes with intellectual disabilities, free of charge. Since 1968, Special Olympics has been changing attitudes about the talents of people with intellectual disabilities and raising awareness to build an inclusive and unified community.
